Entertainment Entertainment & Entertainment

Only movies, songs & books can always be your friend at any time. They sometimes reflect you, motivate, make happy or console you. I blogged about songs - My love story (Shhh!), a while back and this post is about movies. Hopefully I can someday write about books too. But honestly as I am not reading any books after we moved in to Coimbatore, it will definitely take some years, so don’t worry and just relax. :-p

Now coming to the movies, I guess age, experience and thought process can be the main reasons to like / dislike any movie. I have listed some movies here that I liked since a couple of years.

The movies are in no specific order.

  • Family – Piku, Papanasam, Kabali, Ennai arindhal, Kapoor & Sons, Dil dhadakne do, 36 vayadhinile, Bangalore days, Appa, Amma Kanakku, Dum lagake haisha, Dangal, Pa Pandi

  • Romance – Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Bahubali 2 (liked the character of Amarendra bahubali), Katru veliyidai (Liked the characterization of Karthi)

  • Others - Managaram, Thuruvangal 16, Thani oruvan, 24, netru indru naalai, Anegan, Jil jung jak, Naanum rowdydhan

Did I miss any good movie?

Try to guess my state of mind from this. :-p

Happy Sunday!

Lethargic Sunday morning.
Hot rava uppuma with sugar, followed by hot strong filter coffee for breakfast.
A couple of hours of solitude at home on a Sunday.
Listening to IR without compromising on volume when doing chores.
All this individually can give you happiness.
But it’s a sheer bliss when you get it all at the same time.
Happy Sunday! :-)

Special Birthday!

Manasa started planning for my BD a month before itself. She kept saying “Amma, you should enjoy the rest day on your BD. I will do all the works and you just have to have the fun.”  J

Since a week, she used to ask me naughtily almost daily “Amma, what special day is coming in 5 days…4 days etc”. Thus she started the countdown, a week before. J

She gave a to-do list to her dad, to buy for my BD. A saree (she says she likes me in saree only), a salwar (coz I told her that it’s my choice), a chain and an ear-ring. The last two are still pending and I think I need to follow-it-up with Manasa. ;-)

Last night she wrote a surprise greeting letter and kept it under my pillow, without my knowledge. To my “surprise”, I saw it only in the morning.

She fulfilled her promise too up to an extent that she could do, like re-arranging her toys after playing, swept & mopped wherever it was dusty & dirty on the floor.

Already asked her dad to come home early to go out for dinner.

I should have kept counting from the morning, to have a clear count on how many times she has wished me HBD. :-)

I have just described the happenings and I am not going to share my emotions here, because obviously I cannot express it in words.

Manasa, thanks a lot my darling. Not only because of these incidents, but generally everyday, you make me feel proud about yourself. Love you lots.
