Rain… Rain… Come Immediately…

I was in the office and it was a dark cloudy evening with a heavy rain. The girl’s team in my office, with our cups of tea in hand, came to portico and started to enjoy seeing the rain.

My colleague remembered her 4 years old daughter that she is so afraid of rain & thunder and she used to tightly close her ears and get settled in the corner of the bed. We were laughing, at the same time, sympathised for the little one.

And suddenly there flashed a tortoise coil which took me back to my flashback memories. :D

In our house at Triplicane, rain water will occupy the verandah fully. Luckily it never came inside. When the rain stops/slows down, we used to drain the water by throwing it away with buckets onto the street. I was in 3rd class or so at that time and after throwing a tantrum, my mom allowed me to participate in that very interesting task. With a small mug, I used to throw away water onto the street, which I used to enjoy a lot.

During my middle school days, the same rain, the same wish of mine to play in the rain, but I cannot do it because of my school back pack bag. A plastic cover (like the one which we used to put VADAMs during summers) of my height, which will cover the back fully and head, but open in the front (which my mom will join with safety pins) used to be my rain coat. And I liked this rain coat very much, as I can feel the rain drops falling.

Then came my college days, the same rain, the same wish to get drenched in rain and this time my wish fulfilled. I used to take umbrella to college and inside college my friends team of 4, used to eat ice creams from the canteen and used to get drenched and enjoy the rain.

Later on during my courtship days, the same rain, but this would take me to call my ‘would be’ man and chat with him the sweet nothings. We were in Nanganallur by this time and with a hot cup of coffee, I used to sit on the verandah and enjoy the weather.

Then came my newly married days, the same rain, the same wish, but my hubby never liked my wish of getting drenched in the rain. But I used to enjoy the climate with the same hot coffee in hand and sitting in the big verandah at Cuddalore house.

But my wish of getting drenched in the rain with my hubby fulfilled accidentally, that too twice :). Just imagine how romantic it would be. ;-)

And suddenly there was a big thunder that brought back me to the present moment. Our tea break was over and colleagues already started moving to work, I smiled myself and went back to work.

Rain is always an energy booster to me, no matter whether I get drenched or not. Who will not like it, isn’t it? And that too in this hot summer season, its relaxed to write about rain and its high time to sing the jingle by changing it a bit:

Rain… Rain… Come Immediately…

(Thank God, I justified the title of the post finally :) )

Hello,

I always used to wonder how people maintain blog; spend a sufficient time daily or at least weekly on that.

I am not at all a Writer and of course Writing is definitely not my passion. But then even I had a very long time wish of writing a blog for my own.

So after creating this blog login before a year and a half, just today I started to post.

Let’s see how I do it.

P.S.: My blog will always in Beta version :), meaning only they will be able to read who has got invite from me.
