சமையலறை சன்னலில் 

எட்டிப் பார்த்து 

"என்ன சமைக்கிறாய்?" என்றது.

சந்திரகலா செய்யப் 

போகிறேன் என்றேன்.

அடுத்த நொடி மேகங்களில் 

ஓடி ஒளிந்தது.

எனது மாமி.

ஆறு மாதத்திற்கு முன்பு 

ஒன்று விட்ட சித்தி. 

ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு முன்பு

தூரத்து அண்ணி. 

என் அம்மாவிற்கு இவர்கள்

வாரந்தோறும் தொலைபேசும் 

திடீர் தோழிகளானார்கள்.

மூத்த கைம்பெண்ணான 

என் அம்மா புதியவர்களான 

அவர்களுக்கு ஆறுதல்.

தன் பதின்ம வயதில் 

பெற்றோரின் சம்மதமின்றி 

அவர்களை தவிக்க விட்டு   

காதல் மணம் செய்த

தோழியை வெறுத்தேன்.

ஆண்டுகள் பல கழிந்த

பின் தான் புரிந்தது

முக்கியமானது மகிழ்ச்சியான 

மண வாழ்க்கை தான் 

அதைத் தந்தது 

காதலா பெற்றோரா என்பதல்ல.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது !!

அதிகாலைப் பறவைகளின் ஒலி 
ஆலயத்தின் தெய்வீக மணம்
இலைகள் உதிர்க்கும் மழைநீர்   
ஈரம் மாறாத மண் 
உன்னை முதன்முதலாய் சந்தித்த நாள்  
ஊதுவத்தியின் நறுமணம் 
எதிர்ப்பாராத மழை 
ஏகாந்தத்தின் அமைதி  
ஐயமற்ற அன்புடைய சுற்றம்
ஒழுக்கமான வாழ்க்கை
ஓவியமாய் பிறந்த குழந்தை
ஔடதமில்லா ஆரோக்கியம்

களங்கமில்லாத உன் காதல் 
சலசலக்கும் ஆற்று நீர் 
ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை  
கடலலைகள் 
தனிமையில் மெல்லிசை
நறுமணமிக்க மலர்கள் 
பலிக்கும் சந்தோஷக் கனவுகள்
மழலையின் பொக்கைவாய் சிரிப்பு 
யதார்த்தமான நட்பு 
ரம்யமான தாலாட்டு 
லட்சியங்கள் நிறைவேரும் தருணம் 
வள்ளலை ஒத்த கருணை மனம் 

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது! 
   

Mother's Nature

Few make my baby cry

When they test her possessiveness

Then I pray for her matured ness.

Few make my baby cry

When they test if she is missing them

Then I sob inwardly, as a caring mum.

Few make me feel

When they compare my baby’s physic

Then I used to think they are out of psyche.

Few make me proud

When they talk about her brains

Even then I am scared coz of envy eyes.  

Motherhood

I was ‘me’ from my childhood.

When I got married,

Portion of me vanished.

When I became mother,

I reassigned as a care taker.

When my hairs started to turn gray,

(to discover me) I found myself pray.

Still I am not able to locate, 

Help me if you can accommodate.
